Hi friends! I'm back sharing this fun shaker card using a mix of old and new sets from Lawn Fawn. For inspiration, I used colors from the Butterfly Reflections Ink July mood board (image below).
These cheeky mice are having fun creating bubbles in the bath tub! You can see a few of the mice are trapped in colorful bubbles!
To create this card I used a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended the clouds using a stencil and spun sugar and dried marigold distress oxide inks. Then I cut circle shapes using a circle die to create the "bubbles." Another card panel was ink blended using a circle stencil to correspond to the cut circles. Distress oxide inks festive berries, ripe persimmon, wild honey and picked raspberry used to ink blend the "bubbles". Unfortunately, my picked raspberry bubbles ended up being covered by the images!
Next, I inked up the images from several Lawn Fawn sets with black ink and colored the images using copic markers. The mouse on the tiny stool is from the special Merry Mice set which was a collaboration set-sorry but it may be unavailable! For the mice I used E35, E33, E11, R20 and R0000. Then on a piece of heavy weight vellum, I white heat embossed the bubble images from the rub a dub dub set.
All the images were cut using the coordinating dies expect for the vellum bubbles on the bottom which I hand cut. Using my craft knife, I cut a slit in the vellum to create a pocket for my bathtub. I then adhered 3 of the mice to the ink blended bubble panel. Then I used a piece of acetate and double foam tape to create a shaker. I added pretty pink posh 4mm and 6mm clear droplets to the inside of the shaker so it would look like bubbles. Finally all the images were adhered using liquid glue and the sentiment from crazy antics was stamped on pink cardstock. The card was then adhered to an A2 card base and white gel pen accents added for extra details.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you liked this fun shaker card! Be sure to check out the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog for more mood board inspiration!
